Electric baseboard heaters offer their own set of problems that can be solved by installing a baseboard heater cover. Usually a complete replacement of the electric baseboard heater is the most cost effective way to deal with an aging ugly electric heater. However a new heater will not solve issues related to child safety and rust prevention. Electric baseboard heaters operate at far higher temperatures than hot water systems. The heating elements within 240V and 120V units can produce temperatures in excess of 130 degrees Fahrenheit. The open area at the top of an electric heater offers free and clear access to the heating element. When installed properly, Baseboarders® will completely cover this area. |
