Can I use Baseboarders with electric baseboard heaters?

While Baseboarders® was originally designed for hydronic baseboard heating, there are select cases where the product can be used with electric baseboard heating. Learn More

Note: you will need to use our wall brackets (WB001 – 1-1/4” tall) for installing the panels since electric baseboard heaters do not normally have a backplate on the wall. (For panels that are 5’ long or less, you will need to use two brackets. Longer panels will need three brackets.

How do I request custom cut lengths when I place my order on this website?

We will custom cut any standard panel in any product line to your measurements. There is no cost for this service. To instruct us which panel(s) to cut to what length(s), simply list the stock length, the quantity to be cut and the custom length needed.

How do I clean my baseboard cover?

Baseboarders® products should only be cleaned with mild soap on a damp cloth.  Be sure to thoroughly dry panels and accessories if exposed to any amount of moisture to help prevent against the development of rust.

Do I need any special tools or a contractor to install a Baseboarders cover?

No. Installation is a snap-and-drop process: remove your existing endcaps and front panel, snap the new endcaps onto your Baseboarders cover, then drop the assembled cover over your original heater's back plate. If your heater is missing its back plate, our wall-bracket kit mounts directly to the wall instead — no specialty tools required either way.

How do I know if a Baseboarders cover will fit my baseboard heater?

Baseboarders panels use a one-piece slip-on design that fits about 95% of all hydronic (hot water) baseboard heaters ever made, regardless of who originally manufactured yours. Measure the height, depth, and length of your existing heater using our measuring guide — standard styles fit 7-1/2"–8-3/4" heights, Premium Tall fits 9"–10". If your measurements fall outside these ranges or your depth exceeds 3", our wall-bracket mounting option covers you.

How are Baseboarders covers different from what I'd find at Home Depot or Lowe's?

Big-box heater covers are typically generic builder-grade metal that dents easily and shows rust within a season or two. Every Baseboarders panel is galvanized steel with an epoxy-based powder coat finish over a zinc layer, backed by a lifetime warranty against rust. We also custom-cut any panel to your exact length at no charge — something you won't get off a shelf.
