Answers to Your Burning Questions about Baseboarders®

We talked to the experts at Baseboarders® to find out the answers to the questions our customers ask the most. Here’s what they said.

What is your shipping time frame?

For U.S. customers (contiguous) most orders will arrive 1-5 business days after leaving our warehouse via FedEx Ground. Our Quick Ship program (products are shipped out within 3 business days from order on orders placed before 10:30am ET. For orders placed afterwards, the following day will be considered the order date) includes all product styles in White only. Custom cuts and special colors require an additional 2 weeks lead time.

For Canadian customers, the order will be scheduled for pickup at our British Columbia location, shipment via Groundstar Express to Lower Mainland locations, or shipment via FedEx Ground for locations beyond Lower Mainland. Pick up can be ready as soon as the same day or following business day.

How much is shipping?

We have a standard flat shipping rate of $30 per order. We can ship anywhere in the Lower 48 United States and most of Canada. If your ship-to address is in the Canadian Northwest Territories, or the Yukon region, you'll need to call us first to get a quote for shipping. We no longer ship to Alaska.

I live in Canada. How do I order your products?

One of our Baseboarders™ facilities manufactures in Delta, BC, and we ship to all points across Canada. If you provide us with your email address, we will send over the Canadian Order Form with pricing in CAD.

What if I don’t have a backplate?

You will need to order wall brackets (WB001 – 1-1/4” tall) for installing the panels if you no longer have a back plate or if your backplate is not at least 7-1/2" off the floor. For panels that are 5’ long or less, you will need to use (2) brackets. Longer panels will need (3) brackets.

How many wall brackets will I need?

For panel sizes 2' - 5', you will need two wall brackets each. For panels 6' and 7', you will need three wall brackets each.

What if my shipment is damaged or is missing items?

Damaged or missing items must be reported within 72 hours of delivery. Email resolutions@baseboarders.com with the order number, along with a picture of the damage to each item and any missing item information.

What is your return policy?

In the event your panels do not fit the application or you just change your mind, we will issue a FULL refund for any items that are returned to our warehouse in good condition within 30 days of the delivery date. The only exception is for custom cut panels - these items are final sale. Email your order number, along with the items and quantities you wish to return to returns@baseboarders.com.

Can I purchase Baseboarders® in-store?

Baseboarders™ products are not sold in stores, but you can order on our website or through one of our distributor websites – Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Wayfair, Walmart, Supply House or Vent & Cover.

Can these be used with electric units?

Baseboarders® product lines are designed for hydronic baseboard heaters but can be used with electric baseboard heaters as well. You will need to use our wall brackets (WB001) for installing the panels since electric baseboard heaters do not have a backplate on the wall. As always, be careful whenever using electric baseboard heaters as electric units generate higher surface temperatures.

NOW AVAILABLE! We've curated kits specially built for replacing electric baseboard heater covers. You get the look you want fast and easy!

Do you do custom cuts?

We can take our standard-length panels and cut them down to a specified length at no additional charge. When you add the panel to the cart, click on the scissors icon and a field will open for typing in the custom cut details. Please allow extended lead times for custom cuts.

How do the end caps work?

Our closed, open, and zero clearance end caps can be installed flush on the panel or pulled out up to 1-3/4" each when needed to span additional space.

Do you have an installation team?

Baseboarders® products are designed for easy installation, so we do not have installation teams. If you need help with installation, you might consider contacting your preferred plumber or renovation contractor.

Can I paint the panels?

Baseboarders® products are powder-coated semi-gloss white, but you can paint the panels and accessories using the latex or enamel paint in the color of your choice with a roller or spray can. Special high-heat paint is not necessary for hot water baseboard heaters.

Are your panels rust-proof?

Baseboarders® are made of steel that is galvanized. Galvanizing is a process that uses an electric charge to "stick on" a thin coating of zinc. We then apply an epoxy-based powder coated layer over the top of the zinc. Having two layers of protective coating between the raw steel and the elements helps prevent the occurrence of rust.

Do the heater covers come in a kit?

All panels and accessories are sold separately.

Am I able to cut the panels myself?

Panels can be cut with tin snips capable of 22 gauge steel. See this "How To" video demonstrating step by step how to cut panels on site.

How do I place a special order color?

Special order colors are available in Cast Iron Black, Oil Rubbed Bronze, and Cool Gray, and are available for shipment to U.S. locations. Production lead time is two weeks plus transit.

If you would like to proceed, please provide the name, address, phone number and items for your order. We will use this information for entering the order and email a PayPal invoice for payment. They can be purchased via email at sales@baseboarders.com or by phone (844-801-6429).

What type of warranties are available?

Our Basic model has a two year warranty against rust while our Premium, Elliptus, and Premium Tall models have a lifetime warranty against rust.
